Free Trade Agreements between Mexico and other countries

Mexico has a network of 14 Free Trade Agreements with 50 countries (FTAs), 30 Agreements for the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments (APPRIs) with 31 countries or administrative regions, and 9 limited scope agreements (Acuerdos de Complementación Económica y Partial Scope Agreements) within the framework of the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI).

In addition, Mexico actively participates in multilateral and regional organizations and forums such as the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Mechanism (APEC), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and ALADI.

Mexico, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Greece, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, United Kingdom, Sweden, Cyprus, Slovenia, Malta, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Estonia, Slovakia, Latvia and Lithuania.

9. Mexico-Northern Triangle Free Trade Agreement

10. Mexico-European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Free Trade Agreement

Mexico, Republic of Iceland, Kingdom of Norway, the Principality of Liechtenstein, and the Swiss Confederation.

11. Mexico-Uruguay Free Trade Agreement

12. Mexico – Panama Free Trade Agreement

13. Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership Treaty (TIPAT or CPTPP):

Mexico, Japan, Vietnam, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Peru, and Chile.

As we discussed at the beginning, it is important to mention that there are many other economic agreements or associations to which Mexico belongs, such as the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI) where the Argentine Republic, the Plurinational State of Bolivia, the Federative Republic of Brazil form a team , the Republic of Chile, the Republic of Colombia, the Republic of Ecuador, the United Mexican States, the Republic of Paraguay, the Republic of Peru, the Oriental Republic of Uruguay and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Republic of Cuba, the Republic of Panama and the Republic of Nicaragua.
