CMA CGM and Air France-KLM join forces to strengthen their air cargo transportation service through an agreement that will initially last ten years.

As a team, they have 10 cargo aircraft (six Air France-KLM and four CMA CGM) plus the 12 that they have jointly ordered, they will also be able to use Air France passenger aircraft, which includes more than 160 aircraft that will serve to facilitate and improve delivery times.

The partnership will combine the knowledge and global sales teams of both partners to serve the customer with one voice.

CMA CGM has the firm intention of taking up to 9% of the capital of Air France-KLM, currently the main shareholders of the Air France airline are:

The French State is the largest shareholder with 28.6% of the shares, followed by China Eastern Airlines (9.6%), the Dutch State (9.3%) and Delta Airlines (5.8%).

In March 2021, Rodolphe Saadé created CMA CGM Air Cargo, a new operational and commercial branch specialized in the air transport of goods and boy is it bearing fruit.
